Technical 1956 Cadillac parts interchange.

I got a customer with a 56 Cadillac That needs some third member parts and was wondering if a 57 would interchange? I know that the yoke is different, but as far as the ring and pinion and third member would that be interchangeable? I figure somebody with a parts interchange book would know. Thank you very much
