Snow came on the weekend and appears to be here to stay. I still use my Dad's old 1974 Toro 6 hp snow thrower. learned how to rebuild small engines on that thing. Still works great.

Lol actually now that i go back and look that one might be a clutch-flite, the pic isnt of mine, mine is in pieces at the moment. I just grabbed a pic off the net to show what im building, guess i should have looked closer at the pic . The pic of the bellhousing is actually mine.

  12. MAN! between Bean Dip, you and ourselves, looks like there's gonna be some '56 muscle headed towards the Carolinas next year. Me like.

I'm gonna follow your build pretty closely.Aside from the fact that it's just plain cool,I LOVE that you're using the clutch Turbo.
I'm putting a B&M HydroStick in my coupe,so I will probably be grilling you on info about spiders, etc when you get yours up and running.
Man,there are so many effin cool cars coming together on here right now,I think I've got 199 build threads subscribed!:)

Thank you, yeah i am gonna try and make it down to that Greer show next year. I went back and checked my time slips we run quarter mile up here, but i was still going 6.40s in the 1/8th and i should be a little faster next season. :) Clutch-turbo + new cam + fiberglass front end = a fun next season!

  16. Are you going with a '56 nose, or 55 again. Glasstek makes '56 noses.

Looks like i found a 56 , keep your fingers crossed, i have a friend helping me get it delivered from 3 states away. I just really hope it works out. Not that this will save any weight, but i am pretty sure we are radiusing my wheel wells over the winter also. Now if only i could get this guy i found to come off those old magnesium 16 x 12 wheels Halibrand i think)my life would be perfect lol

If it doesn't work out I have the stock sheet metal off my 56. I'm near Chicago. I found a nose a&a fiberglass nose from back in the day.

  19. MAN! I've been slacking a bit working on our '56, Uncle Dirty and Bean Dip got me all rev'd up again, but I gotta go wear out a turkey first, then take a nap..,then I'm back on the 56 like a rat on a Cheetoh! Happy Thanksgiving everyone, sure thankful we live in this great country, God bless our military today for helping make it happen! Thank you Ryan and all the behind the scenes HAMB people that gives us a place to jibber jabber, visit, and help each other out with our great car hobbies & businesses.

GIT-R-DUN tater salad!! Oh, and happy Thanks givin! :D:D

  21. When you radius the rear wheel wells, are you going round like most the 55's, or going with a bigger "tear drop" like ours,/the original Project X '57. I think 56-57's look better with the factory shape, just made bigger. Just curious which way your leaning. If we make it to some of the "Carolina Crashbox Crew" races next year the same time as you, I'll bring our fresh Kilgore clutch turbo as a spare for you, just in case you have an oops.

hey if your goin to Greer jump off 96 and pick me up on your way south

I remember those trannys from the 70's they were the hot ticket before they got high stall torque converters figured out

buddy of mine ran one in a chevelle from what I remember there is just enough slippage in the automatic compared to a full manual trans to provide a cushion
on the drive line to reduce the carnage and destruction of hard launches in heavy
cars they were known as the poor mans lenco

  24. Our intention is to tow from Cali. and race with you guys..,even sold my 40,000 mile pristine 2006 F350 Duallie, so we can get a 26' C-class to tow out there in.
