Its a combination of both, the guy i had do it is a pro . I had ordered a S&W racecars kit for the back half and then he got the front half from someone else (he doesnt like doing the actual upper halo style, he uses the kits that have upper side bars going down and then a cross bar up top that you weld in after, he says they are much easier to install then he did alot of custom fitting to make it right. He said it should be legal to 8.50. He ads alot of bars tho to make this happen.

Hey Uncledirty, met you I think a month ago at Mike"s when you guys were trashing on the frame waiting for the floor pan, and when you told me that you were targeting March for Detroit I thought to myself "GoodLuck!" but man you're doing it! Great job, can't wait to see her done.

Nice! That's way cooler than a single plane and a holley.
Are you going to try running this car on the street at all?

If it does , it will be to go about 3 miles down the road and probably only once or twice, it that. I have heard the mechanical injection doesnt have good street manners, but im not to worried about it.

That could end badly lol the rear bumper will be glass. Probably will have wheelie bars on it if its stands up too much, but i have no trans brake so i should be ok.

Have you thought about using the 3M body panel adhesive to attach the door skins ?

I would like to take a moment to give credit where it is due, this project and all its progress would not be possible if it weren't for Mike Borema and Gas Axe Garage. His work , his quality and dedication to Hot rodding in general , are second to none!! His builds are works of art!
