Nope, not Model A's. They are deuces. I found these about 3 years ago while making an E-Bay transaction. One is a Carson topped roadster and the other is a coupe and they are in the city limits of Detroit.

55 Chevy-s call the color combination "Coral and Pewter" two tone ... I call it "La Bamba" ... nice traditional combination.

Whether you just do basic, proper fix-up and paint OR go all the way for a full retoration, you're gonna be alright. Since my dad had a '56 Firedome, I can atest that this is one FUN car just to enjoy driving! It's true, money isn't everything, BUT you have one of the best '56 DeSotos to restore, the best being the Pacesetter & the Adventurer, of course. Judging from well-restored sedans and hardtops sold on eBay the past 12 months, this car, fully restored, would be like money in the bank, meaning 25 to 30 bigs ones. Until, and IF, you ever to decide to fully restore it, heck, ENJOY driving it AND please keep it dry!!! I'm just glad to know you're not gonna turn it into a low-rider or something. These are just too rare for that. Congrats on the best find I've seen in a long time!!! I'd swap you my '55 Fireflite, even up. I'm dreaming, guys!! -- Jimi'sHemi291

Close. Adventurers were available in white or black with gold, and the gold could either be on the main body or on the spear/roof. Four variations.

That is a SWEET Firedome. Please check your PMs.
