Next time he gets on your *** tell him he is a parts changer and not a mechanic. A mechanic only changes parts that are needed

I agree with you. I was going to keep the original ones until like I previously posted that the threads that go into the spindles are badly stripped.

I just spoke with kanter and asked them if the ball joints are U.S. made and they said well some are some aren't...We get them from multiple suppliersand I asked them if they could get me the U.S. ones. I was told they all get tossed into one big bin and they cant do that. Also the shipping from the east coast would be $41.00

That is ridiculous!I ship for a living. It doesn't cost that much at all , so I guess I will be going to napa.

I ended up calling Napa earlier today and asked them if they sold U.S. made ball joints. They said they wouldnt know till they get them in. Would be a special order and take a couple days and they would be $134 each. Im guessing for that price they should be U.S. right?

I an trying to gather all the parts individualy so that I can get the better quality parts and so I don't have extra parts if I was to buy a kit. I can't find ball joints that are guaranteed to be made in the US. The ones from napa are $134 each and for them being that expensive makes me want to believe that they are US made.

I had spoke to Prestige T-birds this morning and they had said that the ball joints they sell are most likely from over seas but they havent had an issue with them at all. They are also pretty cheap

I'm needing to replace several front end bushings on my '56 as well. I was planning on buying Moog as I know they are mainly USA.

Moog is a brand sold by many parts places. Most of Moog is USA, but some is now outsourced. In my opinion, it's probably your best bet.

Look back in the posts, Moog is sold locally by Completes, they don't list a number for the Ford/Checker BJ's.

Well since they are sold completes? As kits? I think I will stick with Prestige Thunderbirds.

They seem like very good quality. For 13 years these guys said they have used this supplier with no problems.
