I'm glad you did... LOVE IT! To me the this body looks better without the front bumper (Don't worry, I'm sure no one will notice the Boyd sign in the corner...)
cool. I like the connecting rods up front-nice touch- and the corvette mastercylinder should be painted hot pink with a big arrow pointing at it- the last couple of gassers I saw had awesome "Jelly Jar" one chamber masters still on them. and chance we could get a shot or two of your ladders?
Way cool Mr D-love the attitude it has!Says something like "you talkin' to mee!?"Nice job-and the shop looks great too.Shaggn'
Hey Guys, Thanks For The Comments, I Dont Have Any More Shots Of The Suspension Yet, Actually These Pics Were Taken In Oklahoma Where The Car Is Now Until Next Week Or So < Then I Can Get It Trailered Up To New York...and I Just Cant Wait To Get This, I Dont Think Im Gonna Paint It< I Kinda Like It Black And White With The Grey Tilt Front End. To Me This Looks Real Real Nasty.
Love your car man. The fuel injection really sets it off. What size tires and wheels are you running?
That was a great lookin car, I seen it go on ebay a few weeks back. I believe I drooled over it then also..........
I was salivating over that car when it was on ebay. Best of luck with it. Hope to see it at some East Coast events next year.
HEY GUYS, THANKS AGAIN FOR THE COMMENTS, IM KINDA GLAD A BEAST LIKE THIS IS APPRICIATED... THE FRONTS ARE 15 x 5 AMERICANS ON FIRESTONE NOSTALGIA RIBBED AND THE BACKS ARE 15 x 8.5 AMERICANS ON HURST PIE CRUST CHEATERS. THIS WAS ON EBAY 3 DIFFERENT TIMES AND I WAS PRAYING THAT NOBODY BOUGHT IT, I WOULD HAVE BUT I WAS SELLIN TWO CARS AT THE TIME. HAD A PORSCHE THAT LOOKED GOOD ,BUT WAS A TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS., HAD A SHELBY MUSTANG THAT WAS AWESOME, BUT COULDNT JUSTIFY HAVING AMORTGAGE AND DRIVING A SIX FIGURE CAR TO CRUISE NIGHTS. WHAT I REALLY WANTED WAS A NARLY 56 SO I GOT WHAT I WANTED AND PAID OFF THE HOUSE TOO. CANT BEAT THAT.
Very nice...........makes me want to go out in the garage and get my OL 55 out of mothballs. One thing though, if you're going to actually run that original generator, be prepared to have the brushes blow out the back after a few 6000 plus RPM runs. Happened to me more than once back in high school. But all kidding aside, really bitchin' ride, congratulations.
Nice! You ever see the three red/white 55 Chevys that always hit cruise nights and always park together??? Get you baby home and you and Cavallaro can start the Gasser gang cruise in..... Where you at in Crapchester???
ABSOLUTELY FECKING AWESOME!!! Trade you my gennie 56 210 that's been in my family since new even up for yours...once you're done. Tell us about the engine, and feel free to get as technical as you want on the minutiae!
Hey Kustomolds, Im On St Paul Blvd In Irondequoit, You Know Roger And You Seem To Know Me, Whats Your Name??? If Your From A Long Time Ago I Probably Wont Remember Cause That Wing In My Brain Closed Years Ago, But Give It A Shot Anyways, Hey Ya Never Know. Rogers Car Is The Reason I Went Looking For One Of These, I Just Thought It Looked So Raw And Nasty.
HEY ZEKE, HERE WE GO: 355 SBC, 4 BOLT MAIN, NEW 7.5:1 TRW BLOWER PISTONS, REWORKED RODS, NEW ARP HEAD STUDS, NEW 2:02 VALVES NEW SPRINGS NEW RETAINERS, ROLLER ROCKERS, OLD CORVETTE VALVE COVERS, OFF AN OLD GASSER, NEW ENGLE SPECIAL GRIND CAM , HAMPTON 6:71 SUPERCHARGER, WEIAND BLOWER MANIFOLD, HILBORN 4 PORT INJECTOR, VERTEX MAG. PLUS a WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF THATS EITHER NEW OR REBUILT. THIS IS ONE KICK ASS RIDE AND I CANT WAIT TO DRIVE IT. MR. DICK
Injection still looks mechanical...or is it stealthily been converted to EFI? How much boot do you think you'll run? 7.5:1 can tolerate some serious cylinder pressure!!
I love Rogers car, and was only joking about that ...... ai'm out in Spencerport, you may have seen my car around http://www.kustomsandklassics.com http://web.mac.com/kustomsandklassics/iWeb/Kustoms and Klassics/2.html Not sure if we ever met, but may have seen each other in passing. Congrats on the the Gasser, can't wait for spring now.....
