1952-59 Ford 1956 Mercury

So I went over and was digging around the 56 Mercury I bought and came across this. Seems to be 2 small motors mounted on a little frame. Anyone know what this is?
I attached a picture here but, it's not a phenomenal photograph.

Where are the motors mounted and do they drive anything?

 

My guess is power seat motors.

 

They were just thrown in the trunk with tons of other things that were taken off the car, so no clues.
