Anybody have any ideas? My lower tailgate hinges are badly worn. I cut them free from the tailgate and tried to get the pins out with the idea of drilling them out for bushings and new pins. I tried everything and could not get the pins out. I took them to a local machine shop to see if they could get them out and put in bushings but they are very busy and I am not high on their priority list. They have had them over a month now. Just wondering if anyone had a similar problem and how did you solve it?
    Thanks for any advice.

The ones on our wagon were frozen, I resorted to heat and penetrating oil, then a big hammer.

Took a couple of heats & beatings, let the penetrating oil work it's magic. HRP

Yeah I tried that for a while with Kroil and a small torch and a baby sledgehammer. 1 is stiff, nearly frozen and the other is loose and sloppy but those pins are really seized in there.
