1952-59 Ford 1956 t bird ignition wiring

    This bird will run in the start position, but as soon as the key is turned back to "run" the engine stops.
    How is this ignition circuit wired?
    Would a bad resistor go this?
    Is there a circuit diagram someone could post?

    Yes a bad resistor can cause that. The key switch is putting 12 volts to the coil in the start position, then in the "run" position it reverts to the wire going to the resistor which steps down to 6 volts for points longevity. Try a temporary jumper wire around the resistor to verify if it's burned out.
