1957 Chevy 283 engine. Date code, casting and suffix is shown. Casting date is Dec. 8th of 1956. Has 3725306 1956 Power Pack Corvette heads. Does not have side mounts as shown. Has early staggered Cal Custom valve covers. Has 4 bolt balancer. Has 097 solid lifter cam. Engine was running and came out of a 1957 Chevy 2dr and was replaced with later engine. I do remember that it ran really strong. Was told it had been rebuilt but I cannot confirm. Clean under valve covers. Has been in my office on display for 5 years. Carb is incorrect but included.
