This is my first post on here so let's see how this goes.

We have a 1957 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with the Rochester 4 Barrel on it. I believe it's the 4GC. I'm wondering if anyone on here has replaced one with an Edelbrock carb and if so, how they did it.

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Welcome, Dan !
Unless you're changing a lot of other engine parts (cam, headers, etc.), the 4GC is well worth cleaning & using as is.

I have totally restored 4gc's ready to go ......

Changing carbs will cause linkage issues with the operation of your trans.....if you are not familiar with how they operate.

Hi, i replaced the Original Carb with an Edelbrock. I have closed the pre warm channels in the manifold.

The original will outperform the clone in all categories except being shiny.
