will these hubcaps fit on any steel 15 inch rim or do they have to be early model caddy wheels? I want to throw front disc brakes on my 58 caddy and i need later model rims to fit the calipers...will these hubcaps fit late model rims?

they do compliment any car they're on, particularly the early 50s ford and mercs.. would hate to see them repro'd, they'd lose their uniqueness and value, like the fiestas...

TOO LATE. They are being reproduced and have been for a while. I think that`s why you see alot of them with the chrome bullets attatched.

That too. I bought another set this summer. The guy drilled threw the original centers that were in real good shape so he could add bullets to them. One of the centers was off an early 50`s Caddys hubcap tht was in exellent shape. Stupid people.

They have been re-popped since 03 and maybe before. One of the aftermarket suppliers sells them for $125(chromed) and $165 (stainless steal) with the chrome center bullets a piece. Do a search, just about everybody who sells aftermarket 50`s acessories carries them. Some places you can just buy the hubcap without the chrome bullets.

They are being added to the original 57 caps you dont have to modify the hubcaps at all.

  21. These seem to be an earmark for great customs. Haven't seen a ride in this thread yet that I wouldn't be proud to own!

Since this thread has popped back to the top, I'll add my dad's 57 Cadillac caps that are on his Mercury. He didn't want the Cadi centers or bullets, so I made some custom centers for him that fit without damaging the hubcap or the center medallion.

Are there any Caddys still running stock hub caps anymore? I love the look of these hub caps. Can someone tell me if they will fit on stock '51 Chevy wheels?

Once I pull it out of the garage I will take some more with the new caps. Thanks for the compliment! Weather is slowly getting better up here in the cold north.

Question for those that run these. Do I need to static balance my wheels so there are no weights on the outside lip? I can't seem to get them to stay on the way I think they should. It seems like they should fit real tight to the lip and with the weights on the outside they aren't tight enough.
