1957 ford 302 engine swap

    putting a 302 with automatic overdrive in a 57 ford and looking for info on motor mounts and tranny mounts , does any one make a kit or is there shelf items to buy

    HotRod and Custom Supply in Cape Coral, Fl. sells a bolt in motor mount kit for SBF. They also have a transm. kit to put in a C4. Aod is almost the exact length as a C4. but bigger around. The mounting point is different too; you could probably modify it or just fabricate your own trans. mount. Ph. # on catalog is 1800741-4687

    I used 57 V8 frame mounts and 64 Comet V8 engine mounts to mount the 289 in my 57 Fairlane.

    Fairlane Dave had a whole post about putting a 302 in his '57. Lots of pics there. Should have no probs at all fitting it in there.

    try late 60's early '70's F100 smallblock motor mounts; i bought a set to put a 302 in my '59 (same chassis) if my FE gives up.
