  1. I love rancheros! Neat looking car.

It looks like a mustang tank. Very common swap in fords. They're cheap, and also fix the generally rusted floor.

The only thing bad about that Ranchero was the open frame in the back, and I see that was what you fixed first- Good man!

Other than that, it looked sweet when you started, and looks to only get better. Keep us posted!

  6. Nice Ranchero. There's something about those '57s.Is me or what?

  7. Thanks Man - Thanks for posting those 2 pictures too - :D

  8.

  9. Thanks - LazyV8 & Lastchance have been a big help with the car to get it going.:D

  10. I agree - plus the bed lost alot of integrity hence it was coming apart back there. It needed to be fixed as well as covered up.

Man that is AWESOME! It's exactly the Ranchero I would build, if I were building a Ranchero. :D

Ever consider '57-58 Chrysler / DeSoto quad headlights? Looks like they were made for '57 Fords...

That's El Sangron's old car... looks like some nice work you're doing there.

LOVE the tail light treatment. so simple to do but such a radical looking change for the Ranchero. yoiu might consider moving the bag tanks to each side of the gas tank and re-plumbing. that could flatten out the floor considerably.

Nice car. Love the grille, looks like it came from the factory that way. Glad someone didn't paint the bumpers, drives me nuts on most cars.

Awesome Ranchero! I am building a 57 Ranchero as well so it is great to see another one being built. I wish I had the air bag setup you have looks great on the ground but you do loose all that bed space. Lowered mine the traditional way with the original suspension. Can't wait to see more of it. Great car.

  23. Very Kool Ride, keep the updates coming!

  24. Im a fan of that grill in this car - It looks like it supposed to be there. :D

  25. To be honest - I have not considered the headlight treatment - I like this though!

  26. Thanks man - Thanks for also pounding the pavement to see if El Sangron is still out there.

  27. Thanks Man - I know, I cant wait to see it done! It will look good.

  28. Just a sneak peak - Our friends as well as fellow club member Johnny (Raytone here on the HAMB)came by to get a jumpstart on making some of the panels for the interior. Johnny and his wife Carol do some outstanding interior jobs - They have done stuff for Luckys 7 Customs as well out in Antioch. Anyway heres a few shots of the panels they made with rough sketches in chalk of the way the interior will lay out. They will do some stitching while were working on the body. Enjoy.

    Back panel behind the seat...
