A little more progress on the g***er today. Some rubberized under coating on the rusty spots!

I wouldn't be worried about the engine swap ... my cousin ran a 421 Pontiac engine in his 57 fairlane in 64

A little progress on the g***er wagon. I am using a motor plate and had to not only install the plate but I needed to produce some spacers for the plate to bridge a gap between the big block frame mounts and the front of the small block, function before form in the case. It don't look pretty but it is stiff as a.........

Looking good, this might be a stupid question, but since the car was set up for a BBC, wouldn't a old Rat 409 be a closer match?
I have no experience with 400 SBC, so wouldn't know how similar they would be to a 350. Is it longer?
    406, is a 3rd oversize piston, or?

And by the way it looks damn good so fare!

The motor I am using is a SBC 400 bored to 406 ci hence the 406. Small blocks all I have for now. maybe BBC or other down the road! Car had a BBC in it before I purchased the roller!

Cool! Been wondering what happened to this car. I followed the original build by RatNasty, even photoshopped a couple of versions with color, sedan delivery look etc. Looking forward to see what you do with it.
Btw, if you have any ideas you'd like to get photoshopped just let me know. Subscribed.

Had another productive day on the g***er!

Mocked up the fender well headers, water pump and altenator. Need to message the left side header but should not be a problem.

I would say the left side header will provide all the message you need, the right will also. Beautiful car.

So its been a few months (ha) and I have done some stuff to the g***er. I am installing plexi gl*** quarter windows with new whisker weather channels, so far so good.

Also tackled some small details like replacing locks and latches on the tail gate so it won't come flying open when I'm hauling *** down the track!

And yes I purchased a nice steering wheel just for the hell of it!

The engine hit the dyno and Im pleased with the results:
403 HP and 456 lb ft of torque, should be quite strong in the g***er!
