1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk (barn find) VIN #:6101866 Mileage:87939 Trans:Manual Condition:Fair Exterior:Black Interior:Black and White Very rare original black paint. Original 289 V-8 supercharged engine verified by the Studebaker museum. Supercharger is attached to the engine! Automatic transmission converted to 4 speed on floor in the early 70s from a 64 Studebaker Gran Tursimo, making the drive train "all Studebaker". Bench seat converted to bucket seats from the same 64 Hawk. Car is complete and will make an excellent restoration project. Does not run...all I did was pour Marvel Mystery oil in cylinders and at this point the motor appears to be seized but someone with mechanical ability may be able to free it...I am no mechanic. Stored in barn since 1974, car was in very good mechanical condition when it was last driven. A true barn find described by a Studebaker enthusiast as an unbelievable 'diamond in the rough' for the enthusiast wanting something historic and different at the car shows! Yes, there is rust...I have many photos of the undercarriage if you need 'em. History: car was purchased used in 1959 from a Pontiac dealer. ***le in hand. I have two cars (both advertised in HAMB)...other is a 1927 Buick Sportster (another barn find)...I can't keep both cars...must sell one to fund the other. I like them both but can only keep one.
