Hot Rods 1957 to 1964 olds rear end

Hello i am having trouble. Just put new axel bearings on the rear end same problem. When i grab the tire at the top and bottom and rock it back and forth i get excessive movement with a clicking noise. The backing plate and lug nuts are all tight. Thanks you for any input. Tim
