How about stepping out of the box a little and try something different like this:

Might take a little fab work as mentioned earlier,
but it wouldn't be the same old, same old.
Just throwing another option out there...

 

And, possibly, mounting them angled to match the trim? Instead of straight horizontal.

IIRC, didnt the Ala-Kart use Dodge lenses in impala bezels?

Yeah they are pretty...I tried to get some perspective on scale by using the picture provided and keying on the tire size and wheel opening. Should be pretty close.

 

Thats actually pretty *****in' I'll defiantly keep this in mind!
