After the departure of my 1961 Chevrolet Parkwood, I was in the market of building a 1958 Chevrolet Nomad. I've always loved the style of a 1958 Chevrolet Nomad and the rarity of them. This Nomad is rough, tough and bad as f*ck! Onto the build up.

  4. Did you clear the roof, or is it wet? Cool car. A friend of mine in Iowa has one with a factory 348 and AC.

Wow!!!What a find! A bone-dry top-of the line Nomad, and You couldn´t have asked for nicer colors, either! I have a similar-year Impala in those same colors; Silver Blue/white exterior, Fathom Blue interior. Pretty impressive how that roof came out! Thanks for posting, I´d sure like to see more of Your progress reviving it back on the road!

Picked up a set of BFG Silverton 7.50-14 Bias Ply Gangsta whites to wrap around a set of 1962 Chevrolet 14x6 Wagon Wheels.

Removed the dingy mismatched brown carpet for a new ACC molded bright blue correct bubbleloop 80/20 along with new 1958 blue kickpanels.

Looking pretty sweet. You might get some crap from some of the folk here for not stripping it down and repainting the whole thing, but I like it.

Thanks man. I don't build cars for the critics, never have and never will. The ones who talk the most, do the least amount of work on their cars. :D

Ripped out the gas tank, had to cut off the clutch heads and twist out the studs of the sending unit. They were completely frozen, boiled it and installed a new sending unit. Gas gauge working once again like a champ.

This was the first year of the Nomad four door, Nomad was only offered in 4 door in 1958 and until the last year of production 1961.

  26. Never seen a four door nomad! Dare to be different!
