Are the front doors on a 4 Dr 58 Chevy wagon the same as a 4 door car? I'm picking up a 4dr wagon but it needs a RT ft door. I know where a 4dr post car is. Just wondering.
I had a 2dr 58 wagon years ago and this 4 door is the closest I found for now.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Different door part numbers http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/parts/1958/58cmpc174.htm ,
    different door glass numbers too.
Looking at pictures online it almost looks like there might be a slight difference in the shape of the window opening. If the length of the 2 doors is the same do you have enough of the wagon door to maybe combine the 2?

2 doors have longer doors. Helps people get in and out of the back seat.

I agree with 24riverview. Do a little measuring of the wagon door and sedan door. It is quite likely any difference is in in the upper frame. That part is usually just spot welded in place on doors of that era. As long as the lower door is the same it should be pretty easy to swap out the upper frame and window parts.

Thanks guys for the info. I'll look into swapping the upper frame out and using a 4 door car bottom half. Never thought of that. The door is just wasted so I got to find somthing

Love your avatar! I can see it is a '54 model....neat shade of green. I had, back in the day, two '53 Plymouth convertibles. Not at the same time. But my buddy had one, and I bought one........later we scrapped mine...terminal rust, even in 1962. Used most of ther glass (tinted) from mine and a few other good bits and pieces.

I had swapped a '55 Dodge 270 Hemi into his after his 6 cyl puked. I later bought that car, but sold it while I was in the Navy. Very stupid thing to have done....

Get that wagon! They´re cool!!I´m with the gentleman who suggested if there´s any difference it must all be in the window frame -section.
