I might be getting a 1958 stude President. starts, stops? inter. is fair body is straight with some minor rust in the normal areas. My question is does anyone have any info on motor and trans that will be a painless swap if later I need to change. Or does anyone have info on how to hoop up the 327(I think) I want it to be a freeway driveable car.... How about any custom sites or pics of tricked out studes?? Thanks for any help this will be my first custom[IMG]

If it's a V8, don't throw rocks at it. The little Stude puts out some decent power. This one is pushing a light 34 p/u but it's no turd.

I had a 53 Stude with a Chevy in it. I think most anything will fit in there.

A 58 Stude President came with a 225 hp 289 V-8. Lots of info on the net about souping them up. The Studes can be hot mills that can make 400hp with the right build easy. The one that camem with my 57 Pres Broadmoor wagon will go into a T later. As for a quick and easy swap 350/350 combo will fit real easy. but I think that you have room for just about anything you'd like to stick in it.

Mine's sporting a 351 Cleveland thanks to Rad****.
