Neat truck. Haven't seen one split like that, pretty cool. The green and brown were and are a buddies, the black gasser is just a favorite. Keep on collecting.
It split right across the floor down the a pillar. I have a pile of stuff for it, including a rust free cab
Damn Thomas... You go thru a lot of those trucks. The few that I have seen of yours were pretty nice..
Subscribed to this thread. I had a 59 Mercury M100 a number of years ago, as far as I know it went to Norfolk, Virginia.
Hi Guys, this is mine, I like it, I have just removed the six and replaced it with an Olds V8 and auto box (it was cheap) as I need to use the truck for towing my 3 window coupe to the drags in 2011 and here a couple of vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4NDH9izYWg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PM_Rsz8nB8
Started tearing into mine over the holidays. Had to rol it out of the 1 car to get the clip off and 10 seconds later How it sits now, saving money for the front end
I didn't do a print of this, no... Only one or two a year become prints out of 50-60 paintings- Besides, this one has my ex girlfriend in it- haha... I do dig those trucks though, and keep thinking of getting one... I'll stick with my Ranchero for now though.
I plan on it, even though it's not going to be real traditional (FI motor and OD trans on latemodel front end) You won't know when the hood closed though.
I just called CPP and they don't carry the monos anymore. Is there another spring set up that I can get, or should I just start pullin leaves?
These guys have them... http://www.performanceonline.com/1948-64-FORD-F-1-and-F-100-TRUCK-FRONT-MONO-LEAF-SPRING-SET/ Also Sac Vintage Ford carries them...
dont sell it, you'll hate yourself.my buddy sold me his,and he hated himself for it .traded it back to him,for my old sportster, and hated myself for it, till i stumbled onto the one i have now.
God I love this thread. Here's a few of my '60. 3in drop axle from Sid and flipped rear axle. Everything else is OG. It is actually lower that it looks in the pics, cameras ain't phones and phones ain't good cameras. There are some real bitcthin trucks on here. Later.
Did you have to do any modifing of the frame or anything on the rear axle flip? Also, did you buy the tie rod droppers from Sids as well? That looks really nice!
