Just picked this 60 up. I'm in the process of gathering all my info on lowering it 3-4" and disc brakes. Found this one for under a 1K. Pretty solid minus all the surface rust. Lots of plans in the future...
I want that Crew Cab!!!! Well here's a few shots of mine. Its been in storage for way to long due to health, money and every other issue you can think of but its finally out and back on track WooHoo!
The Guidster ... nice truck. Neat dash & imbossed scripts. Mellogt - I'm with the others .... I'll take ten of those please!
Started going through the truck a bit. Looks like the bed is pretty toast, he had diamond plate welded in. (old farm truck) The right lower cab corner needs work and both steps need replaced. Other than that, floors are solid along with rad support, cab rain lip and most of the other trouble spots. Truck sat for 3 year and I wanted to see if it would fire up quick. Poured some gas in the carb and it cranked up for a min. Couldn't believe it. I need to mess with the brakes, the pedal wont pump up. Maybe just need to bleed them out good.
I just picked this 60 up from craiglist. 351 cleveland, C6 trans both rebuilt in 07. Runs great. The cab has some rust but I have found a big back glass truck that will donate its cab and front clip. Next will be different wheels, tires and a drop
He are some modification that I took. Lowered fenders to get that lowered look. New thinner leafs front and rear.
my 58, the first pic is when i got it the begining of march, the second is today, after a new set of wheels/tires and a bunch of mechanical work................john
its got a 302/aod. its got some old issues that ive been working threw. its actually from upstate ny, maybe you might know the truck.
Just picked up this 1960 From my ex-father-in-law ... he said he always wanted me to have it. Original owner, original paint, etc, etc, ... 292 3-speed with an extra 292. Nice patina but needs alittle rubbing. Lose the dock bumper, big mirrors, cheezy wheel covers and its good to go. Some of you East County/San Diego folks might recognise this pickup .... its been running the roads of El Cajon, Lakeside, Santtee for the last 53 years ..... now in its new home in Northern Cal.
Personally I've always liked the Ford square bodies more than the typical bellybutton 53-56 F100 that everyone seems to drool over.

Very nice crew cab! I need to post some new progress pictures of my crew cab. Rebuilding the front end, soon to be a half ton.
Jon, your '60 looks great, man. Mine is due for a bit of a freshening, now that the'63 cadillac is all done. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
