Any Ideas or tips? I have already put in New tank New Fuel Neck New lines from fuel pump to carb new sending unit
You can leave the cap loose or off to start the truck. If you want help figuring out why it won't start, we'd probably need a lot more information....as it's pretty much unheard of for a gas cap to prevent an engine starting. Unless it already started, ran for a while, and stopped running due to fuel starvation.
When I did my 59 Apache, I took bought a new fuel tank with cap. My cap did not vent at all, building pressure when the gas warmed and expanded, vacuum when it cooled. Bought a new vented cap, problem gone. It would build so much pressure gas was forced into the bowls causing significant fuel leaks, flooding, not running. There is a way to modify your cap to make it act vented to at least see if that's the problem. Searching will give you ideas.
