I just finished this project this summer. Been driving it and shaking out the last bugs. This is as close to a nut and bolt restoration as a shade tree mechanic like me can do. Everything on this truck is new, although these pics don't show the latest upgrades. I'll list the major items here, but if interested, message me for more details. -VIN is V59B... meaning this is a factory V8 truck, B means 3200 (long bed) -Chassis is powder coated, including all the bed frame supports. Bed is new Amish Hickory -New Posies dropped leaf springs, all new front axle parts. Drives very nice. -Fresh 283, the block that came with it. Date code says 1958-62 as i recall, no VIN stamping in those days. Fresh TH350 trans. Converted to Trick Flow 56 CC aluminum heads last summer, original Power Pack heads didn't seal properly with my intake. -All new wiring, new Speedway Gauges, new dash insert, Flaming River tilt column, new steering wheel, new radiator. -CPP power steering upgrade, power brakes, front disc brakes, 10 bolt posi 308 rearend. -I purposely did not do any body filling, i left the blemishes and painted with acrylic enamel, correct 1959 blue flattened. white is Wimbledon White, all pieces blasted then painted. -Original bed spear trim, not reproduction Having challenges posting pictures, i have many more to share. contact me if you wish to see more.
