I've found a '59 Chevy Biscayne delivery wagon that I'm thinking of buying. Does anyone have any cool pics or info. on this model. I think it will make one cool *** custom.

    Thanks

  3. Will, ya might slide over to chevytalk.com's 58-60 forum. There's several longroof and SD owners.
Not a lot you can do to improve the looks of a 59, but go fer it anyway. [IMG]

Why are you debating? Go get it already.

  5. Deliveries are bad ***. However, some parts are super tough to find so make sure everything is there especially in the back half where the tailgate is, etc. They do not reproduce that stuff. Everything on the front half like fenders, lights, gauges etc can come from any other 59. Originally, all Deliveries come with a single bucket seat... two if it was ordered with a p***enger seat (SUPER RARE. I've only seen one). With the back end, make sure both of the tailgate supports are there... the cover along the roof, etc. The tail light bezels and lenses are the same as wagons and El Caminos but they are not being reproduced. If you need to find them they are pricey too (A set of NOS bezels and lenses went for $525 recently). If you got all that then you're set...

The car is all there except the trim along the edge of the rear fins. It needs floor pans in the front and lower quarter patches. My other experience with a wagon was a 57 2dr. I loved the car but had to sell it when I got married. I think maybe this one will make a good replacement.

    Thanks

  8. if it's the 2 dr with no windows (on the side in the rear), just a rear clam shell door/window, then it's a sedan delivery and those are getting really RARE. they are worth more unchanged. one in good driver condition (no rust, good paint, good interior....) will sell for about 12-15k here in so cal, even more if it is real nice. anything to do with the rear tailgate area is not reproduced and is hard to find.

The car is indeed a sedan delivery. I'm going to try and close the deal this weekend. Will get picks either way.

    Thanks

by driver i mean no major rust holes, no more then 2 colors (not counting 2 tone), the seat/s still there (not too many springs in the ***), these sell around 12k to 15k (if you can find one). ones that fit my previous description are about 20k [IMG].
