    Just got a call from the upholsterer, seat should be ready next week!! And Dennis Carpenter parts coming in the mail sometime soon, weatherstriping etc..

    As a side note, when I was living in CA I had a '65 Chevy van that came out of TX had similar roof rot. I guess its the salt air that gets 'em. Out here, its the salt on the roads eating everything away. "Iron moss" is what I seem to recall it being called back in the UP.

    The seat came out just how I envisioned ! It's super comfortable, and looks great!

    It's coming together Great. I still need to get my Seat and Headliner- Got got my Creative juices going. Thanks for getting me pumped.

    Your seat looks cool. He did a nice job. I would like to get mine done the same except with red instead of black.

  21. I installed reversed eye springs on my '60 and it looks pretty similar, albeit my springs are not mono's.

    Doing all brakes and rebuilding front end currently.. heres a quick pic of freshly painted front axle/springs.. Next week My dad is sandblasting my backing plates, etc..everything is going to be clean and fresh; brakes/tie rods etc.. check in later for more progress

    Reason being I was fishing for Info on a car club in Oakland Ca.
    in the early 50's..:THE GENTS"..And I noticed your thread on your father being a member of the Gents..I believe there logo was a skull with a top hat and a batan/gloves..Its been a very long time,I was 6-7 yr's old..

    Finally, here are some new pics, of the roof and other new stuff.. By now this truck should have been done top to bottom , but there was other things that came firstly..but this ones comin along i suppose..
