The tires and wheels I picked up at the wrecking yard are too big for my 1959 Ranchero and rub the front fenders at full turn and the vehicle is stock height.

What is the stock size wheel/tire for a 1959 Ranchero? What is the biggest wheel/tire I can run if I want to lower the car a couple inches and not rub?

    Thanks!

What size wheels and tires did you install? Give us something to work with here.

  4. I believe they came with 14" wheels, but you could probably run 15"s with the proper profile size tires- Backspacing is the biggest issue, here, however. I.I.R.C., you need to run a "0" offset wheel ...

I can't remember what size I am running (other than too big :)) I will check on the size when I get home.

I was hoping someone might have some direct experience with what does fit a 1959 Ford.

...and yeah, it came originally with 14 inch.

    Thanks,
    Mike

One of my 59 wagon parts cars came with 15x5 inch wheels on it.

  7. Most common was 14", probably around a 7.00x14 to 7.50x14.

I am currently running size P235/75/15-inch.

I like these wheels, what are they?
