Has anyone seen other "one of a kind factory prototype" cars like this on e-bay? Most creations like this turn-out really bad. This one is almost believable.
In the picture, it looks like someone shortened a 4 door sedan. Look at the wheel base, it looks shorter that it outta. I've seen a few cars done like that. They usually look pretty silly.
it's a hillbilly coupe! nothing like a 4 door custom 300 that has had 2 doors taken out and shortened... most would say that they were just making an ugly car uglier. the wheelbase is shorter than a 2 door or a ranchero and it just fucks up the lines of the car & looks goofy like that. take a look at my 2 door and you will see the obvouis differences.
It's a Custom 300. Also looks like the rear fender well was opened up. Very silly looking. Hate to say it, but I would rather it rot there or part it out, than someone fix it up.
It looks like they did a decent job on the hack. Actually I kind of like it, well better than some I have seen. It looks at leasat as good as all those shortened tri-five wagons I have seen pictures of. Now I want one of those cars with 2 fronts that you can drive either way.
[ QUOTE ] I'd run it stock looking just to freak people out. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, run all stock Ford (correct for that year) drivetrain, interior and wheels. tell everyone it is a one off factory prototype !! it looks alot better than any of the tri-5 Chevies i've seen done that way. talk about silly!!
doesn't look that bad to me, and if the wheelbase was altered say move rear wheels back 8-12 inches would balance it out. hasn't broken in half yet so the work must have been pretty good to begin with.
looks kinda odd. By the way, 58 to 60 or so Merc's had a 312 as the low end engine. The top of the line Merc's had FE's. Actually all 312's were basically 292 blocks with a different bore and stroke. Usually same casting number on both.
