Hey guy, I got my 390 motor at the machine shop and want to open the intake and exhaust valves to 2.02 and 1.60 respectively. Shop tells me the sbc valve are a bit to long by 80 thou. I got a hotter cam that is streetable, springs and was told that did not need adjustable rockers. Any one have a solution? Thanks, G.

Seems that the taller valve will require adjustment somewhere in your valvetrain. Either shims under the mounts for the shaft rockers (probably easiest and maintain best geometry) or shorter pushrods.
