Nice ride man! I give major props to anyone who can do a car that long in black. Every panel has to be laser straight. You might catch some flack on the wheels but what the hell. It's a killer Cadi.

Im a body and paint guy by trade. 9 months ago this car was embedded in the ground up in the hills of yureka ca. Lots of body work and rust repair later includeing all new floor boards this is where im at. Need a couple mor mouldings and some emblems and its close to being done. I also have the original wheels with 3" white walls to. I dont like the wheels either.I have another set of polished billet specialties directionals comeing for it. Ill run those and the stockers.

Throw down some Cadi wires with small bullets with the 3 inch whites and it a guranteed show winner! Kool car either way.

if i didn't know better, i'd swear that they never would have built a production car like that. the space race had profound effects on detroit.

I vote for the wires and 3" whites.

  11. I always liked the 60 Cads over the 59's. They were much cleaner styled. This year is the best of the Cads, finned or not.

Awesome work so far!! That bodywork looks great, I wish I had the skill to do that with my '60 Cad. Very curious to see the "before" pics - sounds like she's come a long way

Looks like you're going to keep her mostly stock from what I can see...?

Ahhhhhh, the 60 Cadillac - a thing of joy and beauty. It is simply a work of art of the highest order and we love them.
We've had ours for the last 7 years and love it as much today as when we got it - the rego number is GORGEUS which is exactly right.;)
Ours probably isn't quite as nice as Steve's but it's rust-free and shines real good. Eldo caps ans wide-ish whites do it for us.:D
    Cheers from Perth WA

I had a set of Firestone whites with new Sombrero caps but they recently sold. I built a whole car around this picture of Oz's Cadi with bias Ply Whitewalls. Love at first sight. Just my 2 cents but 47-54 Sombrero's look kinda funky on a 60's model Cadi. 57 caps are a little more doable but they've been done to death. Check out Mac Daddy Wire wheels, Roadster Wire Wheels, and there are a few others out there.

I'm not supposed to say this. I swore a secret oath to be a member of the HAMB but if you want to stay with the big wheel look Mac Daddy Wires makes them in 18's. Shhhhh don't tell anyone I said that.
