so its looking like I may end up with a 60 chevy wagon, a park wood I believe?

either way any one done or seen any kustom tail lights on one of these big gurls?

Also as for the grille the park lane swap only works on 59's right?

hmm, I may have to recess the headlights and make my own tube grille if that swap doesnt apply.

anyways post any pics you have:D

I am also open to impala pics esp different grille treatments!

Hey, some guys simply have no creativity or "vision" so don't lump all of us into the barrel ...!!!:(

A '60 Chev can be killer IF...'59 Pontiac taillights are almost a bolt in...IF you can find them...

A "Park Lane"...??? You talking about a Mercury grille...??? I think it'd work in a '60 better than a '59...and IF you want to build your own "tube" grille, it's not that hard...here's a '64 I built a grille for -3/8" round rod, moved the headlights back 2 inches to clear, built each side so that it could be removed to change a headlight...

So there, hot damn, stick it in your ear...:rolleyes::D

Didja trade the Edsel for it? Call Porkchop and get some ideas from him...I think his is a 60.

    BTW....I like the Merc grill....ALOT!

  10. 59-60 chev wagons are way cool even without doing much to them. I would shave the handles, lose the emblems and put it on the ground.

porkchops is most likely gonna be mine:D

and yes the edsel is going.

PapaJohn, I have access to one of these grills but I seem to remeber some one saying that it takes two of them?

    is that correct?

40studedude, that is exactly what I had in mind except I was thinking Lucas lenses :D

although it wouldnt really matter cause you really couldnt see them but I would know! the poncho tail lights are a rad idea too, I will look into that

    pumpman, thats a sweet wagon!

Something I cobbled together about 15 years ago, never found a decent '60 wagon to do it with though.

There have been a few for sale on the HAMB cl***ifieds over the last few months, pouring through the postings might give you some ideas. There was a really neat green one but I can't find the link. I always thought putting 59 chevy tail lights in one would give that slight custom look, most people would probably never notice.

Damn Tank that dude has got it going on!!!

Kepp looking rudebaker! I dig the nomad idea too, I would imagine those windows would be a little pricey to make:D

so here's where I am on it now,

Lavender pearl with a white pearl roof, kandy purple fog with kandy purple lace work on the roof, chrome reverse 14' steelies with a set of good year 14"x 8.20 super cushions, ribbed bell flower tips like May Cause Dangerous, park lane grille with 4 lucas lenses :D and the 59 poncho lenses that 40studedude suggested.

on the interior I was kind of thinking purple metalflake vinyl at first but I was warned against that due to it being a super uncomfortable material during the warm months...

so if not metal flake then I am thinking white tuck and roll with purple piping and s***ching, kandy purple dash column with a 60/61 buick wheel, angle hair dash pad and kick panels, purple carpet with unicorn hair in it with white piping.

Not sure- just liked the look of it. Considered it for a couple of the 60's I had over the years.

Great to see another '60 being customized.

'59 Bonneville tail lights are about a foot long. You'd have to cut them to keep a working tail gate. Catalinas are about half that, but still would need to be cut. My '60 has Bonneville lights, took me two years to find them and I am still looking for nicer lenses for them. They cracked even when the cars were new.

Another idea I had was to french 4 '48 Pontiac tail lights in the same spots the '60's went.

you know ryno I have a set of those and was looking at the last night...

I think I may try and sell my soul to the devil and go get that park lane grille this weekend...

and yes B4C, I am comfy with my ***uality:D Hell I have been considering pearl white with a kandy pink fog job and kandy pink lace on the roof:)

chrome steelies with a kandy pink center!

    who wants to cuddle?

You only need 1 Merc grille for the conversion, unless you are going to try that photoshoped single headlight deal. That for sure will take 2 of them.
