your's looks great! I'm starting an FE build for mine this winter for when i break the cleveland. I have a 428 shortblock laying around collecting mud-dobbers. I think I'll stroke it, put some blue thunder heads and a 6-71 on it. . I do like the way the cleveland revs though, it hits 8k real quick!

I'm building a 62 with the same axle you have. I have a stupid question where do the steering stop go? I have searched but haven't found any info. Thanks and very cool build.

Hi--looks great. I'm thinking of doing the same thing my 63 Ranchero. What adapter did you use to adapt the steering rod to the stock gearbox?

I noticed you used the closest hole to the steering box for the the steering. I used the same one( the other one was cracked) but it seems it will have a very large turning radius. Have you had any problems with yours.

no it steers fine (for a straight axle). i dont do a ton of parking lot jockeying, and its certainly no grocery-getter but i can get it to go where i want it to..

Thanks for the reply. I found my problem, the caliper bracket was hitting the weld on the kingpin boss. Ground for about ten minutes and problem was solved. Hopefully I will be driving it in a few weeks.

I guess this is the "find the weak link" process. I'm sure you'll get it fixed and back out there soon. Neat project.
