Good save, I woulda walked away but you've got some persistence, a 60 Ford is a lovely car.

I'm getting the car ready for photo documentation and a good wash before I put it in the garage for the summer. It's an original 1 family 32K mile car with some oil change documentation. It sat in a field for 22 yrs. Most of the damage is from Wyoming weather. It will need front floors and trunk metal.

Does anyone know if the floors from other years will fit (61,62,?)

I paid "all the money +" for the car (4K) but this is the first starliner or sunliner I have been able to look over without going to distant lands. So factoring in the travel costs and time it was probably a slightly over value purchase.

I thought they were "rare" cars but I see the production numbers are about 68K+, I wonder how many made it through.

  8. Always great to see another '60 saved and given a new lease on life. Congrats, let's see ya do the old girl well!
I would think '61 floors would be identical, save for the possibility of a relocated brace or mounting point or two. They were the same car under the skin weren't they?
('62 and '63, for the most part, as well, right experts?)

I just joined this site, I too have a black (with white roof) 60 Starliner, and I saw your mention of extra Starliner parts for sale. I'm looking for trim that's in better shape than what I have, perhaps you can help me out. I inherited my Starliner from my late brother, Tom - it was his pride, and joy. terminal illness prevented him from finishing it - I promised him that I would.

    Hello, Bob:
I noticed you stated that you had a building full of 60 Ford parts. I'd be interested in finding out if you have any trim pieces - let me know, perhaps we can do business.

treadless... the Columbus, Ohio Craigs list has a '60 rear window if you search for it.

  14. Can anybody out there in Starliner land send me a photo of a battery tray on a ''60? Mine is completely gone. I can get a tray from a T-Bird; is it the same, or close enough?

    Thanks, Ken

If you got one, please send photo to

My all time favorite car. Just don't put a GM motor in it. Saw one at a car show with a 454 and wanted to retch. Keep the pics coming!!!!!!!!!
