ahah, i can relate, im rebuildin from the floor under the rear seat to the end ofthe trunk floor, and the car is only a few inches jacked, plus all the bracing in the trunk makes crawling under it the only way to get in.. LOL
i have a big scar in my back cause there was a piece of sharp steel in the lower 1/4 that i had to still finish that got me! ouch!

    Keep up the great work

That cat is going to be a hell raiser with a chip in it,,,,, On the bright side you'll get better mileage out of a bag of cat food. :D

I lightened this photo up for ya. Love this build Man !!

Good morning guys!!! I can't sleep..... SANTA MARIA today!!!! :D

I can't even begin to tell you how stoked i am about the positive feedback!!! I have way too many hours in the floors, but i am pretty happy on how it's turning out!!! I have been using 18g for all the floors and 1 1/4" , 14g square tubing. We just ordered a 20 gallon gas tank so the trunk is next, toe boards, tranny tunnel and firewall.

As far as the shop goes.... well..... Im a little embarrassed but it won't be happening :( It's not the rent that i can't afford, it's everything else that comes with having a shop......Insurance being one of them!!!! Oh well, hopefully in the next couple years. In the meantime, im gonna put a 12x16 work shop in the back of the garage , and move all the tools against the wall in the workshop so i can do frame off, ya know?!?!?!

See you guys in SANT MARIA this weekend!!!!! :)

    Thanx again!!!!

  23. Didn't realize how low this Caddy is!!! That's just crazy......I mean the whole car,not just the suspension. Looks like it comes to their waist!!!

way to go Ian. bummer about the shop, but i hear ya. Being in business and legally is a real money pit. gotta keep a low profile and keep stormin underground.for now at least.
Dunno over there, but here, if youre caught runnin a garage in the back of your house and gettin paid for work you could be in for some "cage time"...plus fines. it sucks.

Anyways, the drilled gussets that you used on the lower bag mount really stuck w/ me, i kinda copied them, of course theyre way crappier ahah.
Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you to fab lets say 4 of those gussets, and i mean from drawin the lines on the steel plate to the smoothin and finish, cuz it took me almost 4 hours start to finish and weld for 4 damn 4" inches triangle gussets!
Now i know why people buys them ready.

Oh well..... sucks but it is what it is!!! Since i keep only one car at a time in my garage and my property is super clean, and i dont start making noise til 8 or so and stop around 4ish, the neighbors are super cool!!! I had a fence put in with a large gate to block the noise and keep the snoops away..... it does help!!!:)

as far as the tabs i buy them pre made from
    http://www.industrialmetalsupply.com/About-Us
the come in different sizes, i just dont have a great drill press and tools needed to make flawless tabs... :(
