1961 Comet S22

This is an odd one.

Up for sale is my 1961 Mercury Comet S-22. This car started out as a 170 cubic inch with an automatic transmission and the rare S-22 package which included bucket seats, a console, a fancy steering wheel, backup lights, and other trim upgrades. This car has its original window sticker and owners manual.

I've bought this car in 2009 with the intention of getting it the original engine running and back on the road. However, the car was worse than I thought so it became a hot rod project. A lot of the hard work has been done and the car does run. However, it needs an exhaust system and it needs the brake system to be filled with fluid. To get it going and on the road, you don't have too much more work to do. This car is well on its way to being a fun head turner.
