Selling this custom, so I can finish my newest one. OK, this was a low mileage car when it began being customized. Back in the 1970's, George Wallace brought this 61 Pioneer to famous NJ customizer, John Pazsik, at Classic and Custom Auto. Over the next 5 years, they repaired and modified it usually on weekends. It never was finished, and remained in primer and red lead, while being driven to car shows, and eventually, parked. The owner got divorced and the car sat in his old house's detached garage, until a friend of mine found it. He knew what the car was, as his father used to bring him around to John's shop when he was a child. The car was traded to me for some work on his car, and I stripped it down and finished it (mostly). I redid some of the old brazing work, and left what was solid, to keep John's work. I also left the car with the custom work that John and George planned for the car. I did pick my own colors, and interior. Now for the details: It's nosed and decked, electric shaved doors, molded in lake pipes. Scoops integrated into the roof, 53 Buick tail lights tunneled in, tunneled antenna, hand made tube grill. Painted, Larry Watson style, in White Abalone flake, and a Candy Fuschia, I custom mixed. Interior is done in Pearl White and Fuschia Zodiac (Metalflake). Early Chevelle bucket seats. Aftermarket Heat, and AC added. It's got the original 318 Poly engine, and push button automatic trans. Stock rear. Lowered all around. Front disc brakes (Chrysler First Ave. spindles) Manual brakes, manual steering, though I have the parts to convert to power steering. I added a 4 Bbl intake and Holley carb to the engine. It's got scratches, and chips, the chrome is beginning to rust on the lakes, bumpers and Astros, it it NOT a perfect car, but it's an eye catcher, very unusual, and unique.
