Is there a big hole under that hood scoop? If there is and it isn't too big there are some scoops that would look alright on there.
Your car looked pretty low to me in the before pictures. Why not put your old shackles on and get under the car and see where you're at. What do you mean by "four blocks". You're not gonna stack lowering blocks under there are you?
Have you ever road around in a lowered car? How are the roads around where you live? I rode in a car yesterday that had me pissed off the whole time we scratched and scraped down the road. That would get real old real quick.
One good thing about messing up and getting stupid wheels, or using too big of lowering blocks is you can unbolt them really easy. No lasting damage to your car (unless you scrape the shit out of it on the road). I'd think real hard about cutting your coils. If you do, plan on having to take everything apart a few times. Don't go for broke on the first cut. Sneak up on the right heigth by taking a little off at a time until you get the right heigth. Then again even if you cut too much off, springs aren't too expensive.
This stuff ain't as easy as hanging a pair of fuzzy dice on your rear view mirror. Later

60's style teardrop scoops and 60's Fords go together like Johnsonville Brats and Boetje's mustard.

How am i being an ass what so ever? everything i said has been factual and correct. his car DOES look terrible, he IS being a smart ass, he DID call fellow hambers "douchebags" and "faggets" out of rage. Its you guys who are name calling and getting pissed off about the internet, i am simply informing people about this guys many faults. sorry if i have outraged all you falcon lovers.

Did i ever say those arent my style? no, i personally think those would look great on a S-10 or some kind of lowered 90s caprice Wagon, but you must keep in mind, this is a Traditional forumn, and those wheels are un traditional by about 3 inches on a old car. And plus, your car is 4 lug...those are 5 lug...you would need to change your rear end and convert the front to 5 lug to. I hear some maverick or granada rear ends fit well. See, who says im not being helpfull. hahaa

His car looks terrible in your opinion, I have read this thread through a couple of times and I dont really see him being a smartass and if he called other forum members those names shame on him but it should be left in the past. Maybe he has seen the error in acting out that way and has grown past it. I am not outraged just annoyed by certain people acting like they need to point out others faults and acting like there opinions are fact.

thats a pretty sweet bird do you have any stock hieght pics verse the stock hieght.. and what did yu do for alignment ...
i was thinking you had to higher the strut mounts so they wouldnt bottom out and punch a dent throught the hood.. maybe not?

shock absorbers DON'T change, they WON'T bottom out......so NO dramas there, but it will ride (and brake) MUCH nicer if you replace your worn out old shockers.
Just get a nice front end wheel alignment and it'll be better than new!

i used a string for alignment. also just bought shorter shocks to utilize as much travel as possible. let me look for a stock height pic if i have one...
[IMG] cant really tell the height, but the only one i have from before i started working on it...

On THAT car, with THOSE wheels, and NICE chrome/shinybits and factory looking paint - it looks like a correct period racecar quickly converted from a 'not-so-old' stocker.

  23. Don't pay $300 for a Falcon hood. I had an extra one ... (long story). If I can get it, it looks like it'd cost $50 to ship with Greyhound.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

I saw that car at HotRod A Rama. its actually a girls car (like most falcons are) (no offence). and i wondered the same thing. maybe they left it 4 lug simply becuase they didnt have money for the 5 lug conversion?? it sounded MEAN though
