I got another project. This one is going to take quite a bit of work but will be cool when done. Going to go with a simple clean surfer wagon look. More updates to come as I make progress.
Congrats! I just picked a 61 myself. It actually moves under it's own 144 c i power but no brakes...yet. Plans are for a 200 ci, 3.03 3spd and a maverick 2.79 diff swap, front discs and fixed up interior as well as floor rust, rear quarters rust repair. Too many projects, but this one doesn't require rewiring. Right now trying to make the existing power train and brakes operational to get a vin verification and operable vehicle status., then the other stuff happens. Good luck on yours. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/e5fk4xlze5fi3k9/AAA4SsTN1BJHBdfEsP8yM9RPa hope the link works.
Yours looks like a good start. Mine doesn't have rust but is missing quite a bit of stuff. Just picked up a 170 six for it so hopefully soon it will be under its own power. Keep me posted on yours.
As I was searching for parts, pieces and procedures to redo the tan falcon wagon, I found another 61 4 dr tha t had similar problems as the tan one, but ran well and had brakes. Now I'm buying 2 of everything with the only difference being color coordinated to the tan or red wagon. the insanity continues.
After screwing around with the 46 Ford and poking at the Falcons, I've decided to out the 200 ci 6 in the red one with the synchro 3 spd and maverick rearend all 4 bolt, this will be the highway cruiser. This is of course after I check the 144 ci's compressionin the tan and if good I'll just do a rebuild of the brake system (disc front) and let the old 144 power it for awhile, this will be the in-town thing-getter. How's yours going?
