Well here is my 1961 Studebaker lark. It has a 1997 S-10 frame that has been bagged and shorted. Motor and trans are a 302 and c-4 from a 1984 F-150. Wheel covers are 1953 Merc, homemade sanded down white walls, and as of this week im working on the interior and chrome trim.
That's sweet! Is it the angle of the picture or is the rear wheel forward? How much floor did you have to cut out for the frame?
Cool strange car. I like different things. Now scoot out ther and get more pics of the bunny girl. I would like to know how you managed to get all that to fit. Keep posting pics, it is a neat cruiser.
yes it is forward anout 2 inches "oops" but not as bad as the picture makes it, the rear of the fender well flares back so the angle makes it look bad. As far as making it fit, I had to make supports that extend from the frame rails going outward for body supports and the only way i could get the ford motor to fit the s-10 frame was to have it a little far forward than i prefere so i have to mound two small fand on the front of the radiator and they only have an 1/8 of and inch clearance from the grill.
Well now ive got the front end back on and the dash is in the process of being gl***ed and painted right now.
Well the dash is now complete and ready to go in the car in the morning. I ended up covering it in white vinyl due to the fact that i **** with fibergl*** and it was WAVY!
hey noxided, I've spent as much in Simple green & liquid wrench this week as I did on the flatty I picked up from you. Pics looks great. Sorry I couldn't see the lark in the daylight. Have a safe move man!
Here is some more now, its driveable and has the trim on it now. Hopefully by then end of the day the doorpanels will be on along with the emblems, rear bumper and matching tail lights.
door panel number one!!! She made them all by herself, im so proud. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e237/noxided/DSCN1502.jpg[/IMG [IMG]http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e237/noxided/DSCN1503.jpg
Noxided Most of the time I wouldn't give a car or build like that a second look. But you get heart angel. Give it all you got.
now ive got the kick panels made and all that left is cover the b-pillar covers, the c-pillars covers and the windlace on the headliner.
Ok...I'll be the one to say it.....I like oddball cars as much or more than the next guy, but......why build this thing and use the Lincoln for a "table? The 'baker is cool and all but why treat the Lincoln like that? It looks solid and complete. Lemme guess, you got it just to yank the engine out of it for the 'baker build....if you want, I'll trade you some sawhorses and a 4x8 sheet of plywood for it......
