1961 Ford Thunderbird Indy 500 pace cars. This was the 50th. Running of the Indy 500. There were 34 gold special painted. All had 390 automatic trans, w power convertible top. The are only known 5 to left. A rare car that needs to be in some ones collection. This car is still owned by the family that bought the car new. Current owner is 95 years old. The car has one repaint on the back quarter panel, a dent on the drivers side that happened at a church parking lot. The car even has one of the Firestone tires came on the car in 1961. It holds air and is on one the drivers side front. The car starts and sounds great. I have a video of the car leaving the garage and returning inside. I have a video of the top opening and closing the full range. The bumpers and chrome are in very nice. The grill looks good. Under the hood every thing looks for a 60 year old car. The steering works and the power top works fine The paint is unique and even have a can of the original paint. The black interior is very nice, has been replaced and looks like new. The back seat skins are still in a box. The door panels are very nice. The convertible top has been replaced. The trunk is clean clean w no rust. The swing away steering wheel works. The plastic console is cracked, that is about the only thing in the interior that is not nice. Looks like the power widows work, the gl*** and the windshield are in good shape/ I have several videos, many more and better pics of car, the engine, the interior and front and rear chrome. There is so much to work with this piece of history. Call any time 270 313 6136 no trades and this price. I have the Vin number, all the do***entation to verify that this is what we say it is.
