Projects 1961 Olds 88 Starting the metal work

So I'm going to start the metal work on my '61 olds 88. Slowly area by area.
Above the rear wheel on the right side is the worst part of the car, so I'll start there.








So, I have a couple of door skins of some rear doors so I'll be making these into patches.





Just going to start t******* and then make a hammer form to shape the inner lip of the well opening.





Hope to get more done this weekend.

 

Got the crud cut out and have the outer ready to tack in, I will finish the inner last.

Basically finished up. There is some prior damage the runs the full length of the quarter, and thats the filler you see. I'll rework it once all the rust repair is done. I'll move on to the lower rear quarter next.
