I have been working on a photoshop design for a mild custom 1964 Chevy Belair 2-door post. Every photo I have seen of the model had painted window frames and door posts which look a little blah.

I had a 1958 Belair 2-door post with stainless trim and I thought it really improved the looks over the painted post models. At first glance, lots of folks thought it was a hardtop.

Did any of the other GM 2-door posts of the period have chrome or stainless trim on this area? I seem to remember some of the Buicks and maybe Pontiacs and Olds came with this trim.

The 4 door post cars did, and you could make a set of 2 door post trim by cutting down a set of 4 door back door trim for the rear quarter windows, then you'd need the 4 door front door uprights and two 4 door uppers to splice together, either with a union at the top or by welding them together.

That's how I plan to make a set for my '60 Fury 2d post, since Mopar never made that trim for the 2 door sedans but it looks nice on the 4 doors, gives more of a hardtop look.
