First of all ANY photoshop help is very much appreciate as I know it takes time to do. Just acquired a 1962 Cadillac Sedan Deville 4window. Its a very solid Wyo car with little rust and a great interior. The engine is solid and just needs a once over to be rocking again. The Plan for this is a Mobile advertisement for my clothing company (307 (R)) and a daily driver for me. Paint will be a silverflake purple with with scallops on fade panels and green stripes on the roof. (bare with me here) Green 60's gasser window tint, and our company logos on the (current broken) Back glass. The body of the car will stay white with either scallops in purple OR green of a panel paint job in purple. I'm an not sure about either yet, just my first idea ya know. Unfortunately the front clip is injured. driver-side got smoked at some point and someone tried to repair it poorly. I am not entirely in favor of just staying factory in the headlight bezels and grill area. I was thinking of running 61 Cadillac headlight parts and a three bar floating grill, and fill the sides with behind the lights. Or the 62 headlights with one big bar and dagmars on each side next to the lights. So what do you guys think. And Please oh Please anyone with any skill at Photoshop, I would be very grateful. I Know these pictures dont lend themselves for much in the Photoshop department. I will try and find a donor picture.. Heres the Car the black side on the lower fin is tape... not sure why but its tape... Seats were recovered... and i kinda like the pattern on them.
Sorry I couldnt get better pictures by the way... I havent moved it yet. This is where she was sitting. Borrowed this from jlouie off the Kustom Kadillac Kruisers SG
Here was a quick outline the other day so I could play with colors and stuff. I did these all in about 15 minutes. sorry for the poor quality, usually I spend more time and get into detail.
I like the purple design one better than the green design. How about your logo done up on the hood a la the Thunderchicken from the Firebird Trans Am? You could still use the scallop theme around the edges.
Its gunna be hard... but I am trying to avoid making it look silly. which again is gunna be hard. I just what to avoid at all cost it ending up looking "gansta" or anything like that. I am aiming for classy, earlier sixties era, some pinstripers daily driver.
Just played around with the car, tried to get it started yesterday. the radio came to life out of nowhere. I can't believe that little Sucker works still. I think she will be running in no time.
IMHO, "Classy" does not include a huge "307" plastered on the quarters, or in the windows...and I have no idea what 307 might stand for, please enlighten me. "Classy" also does not include scallops on a Cadillac (IMHO), pinstripes yes, if done with restraint. A two-tone combination could be classy if you did the top in another color. Since the interior is done in grays and silvers, then I'd do the top in one of those colors...or the body silver and the top in white. The wide whites, I don't think, fit the car...narrow whites would look better. The Lakers do not fit either, I'd go with some Bellflower tips. Again, these are my opinions...take them for what they are...all in all, the car looks solid... R- Edit: I just figured out what "307" stands for...C'mon Stutz, you've seen my build, let's keep your Cadillac "Classy" too...
Well in response please allow me to clarify, this car is not my personal car or it would be very mild. this car is my advertising car for my clothing company which the brand name for my clothing company is 307. Im pretty proud of that number since we are one of the few remaining states with one area code. the famous bucking horse has been used to hell and back so when my brothers and I decided to do something to represent our state in a different way that was our answer. we trademarked it and now are slowly growing our business. I know that its hard to put something like that on a Cadillac (please understand that my how objective is for a reliable driver that gets our name out there) but I am going for a early 60's style advertising car. For example Roth's 57. Gotta get the name out there and as a traditional guy this was my approach. StudeDude I understand and appreciate your opinions, especially after looking at your build. again I just wanted to clarify my objective.
your explanation is like... coded language to me. I dont know what roths 57 is. please try explain simpler, more ppl may help. "Paint will be a silverflake purple" "The body of the car will stay white" So you want, a white car, with purple scallops, and green roof. or, purple car with white scallops and green roof. your two drawings dont even match that, youve drawn a purple car, with white inner panels, and purple roof. and your second ones white with green scallops. can you see the confusion here?
Not really... but its always easier to understand yourself than explain it to other. Sorry for said confusion. I was just fucking around when I drew those. throwing around Ideas. I put my logo on the side just to see what it looked like. None of this is for sure... just my first ideas.
