In 1977, I bought this 340 hp block out of South Georgia. I ran it in our 62 and put about 10k miles on it in the last 40 years. A few years ago, I reinstalled the original block and set this one aside. Thought I would always keep it but it’s time to p*** it on. It still retains the original forged 11:25 pistons and it is still STANDARD BORE. The block casting date is E112, (May 11, 1962) The front pad with its original broach marks reads F0518RE ( May 18, 340 HP) The car it was originally installed in was built on May 26th, 1962 The 461 heads are bare, I recently had them magnafluxed and they are good and straight. They are dated April 30th and May 1st. Now to the cam. I bought this 097, casting 098, Duntov cam new from Adcox Kirby Chevrolet in Chattanooga in 1977. I also sent it to Delta Cam (in Washington) recently to verify that it is still within specs and it’s perfect. Also had the matching lifters resurfaced. Also Included is a mint, 5 qt trap door oil pan, I’m not interested in piecing this out. Check out the pictures and if interested, call me at 423-nine nine 4-70 five 8 $4500 Thanks, Steve, Chattanooga
