Hello, any of you fellow HAMBER'S know if a 1962 Falcon right front fender will fit on a 1961 Falcon ?? Thanks for any and all info.
reason being, the contour of the front ends is significantly different once you have the two cars side by side. the radiator core support and front aprons are a different set of pressings altogether. add to that the different headlight bucket area and grille opening shape built into the fender fronts and you'll see that they won't interchange. from what i've experienced over the last thirty years screwing around with them, only the central core of the body remained essentially unchanged until mid-63 when the t-bird roofed models came out. that's not even taking into account hardtops and convertibles.... if you have no luck here finding a '62 fender, join TFFN and ask around over there.
i don't know where Tazewell is in relation to Leon Va but there is a big yard there with almost nothing BUT old iron..... the only thing is, you have to pull your own parts and you have to get there early; he doesn't let anyone in past a certain time. he is on the internet (leon auto parts) and usually has a list of what cars he has in stock.
