For your consideration is a '62 Ford Thunderbird. This car is an excellent car to improve while you drive it! The 390 and Automatic transmission work well, and the car runs and drives well. The engine could use a tune up, as it can be a little hard to start, (put your foot to the floor and turn the key and it'll start the 2nd time every time) but it does have a newer Edelbrock carburetor and the engine compartment looks very clean for an original car. The body is solid, apart from a spot of rust behind the driver's side rear wheel well. The trunk floors and interior floors appear to be solid. Rockers and bottoms of the doors and fenders are solid, too. The p***enger side rocker has been repainted (most likely to keep it from rusting) but overall the body is very straight and 99% rust free. All of the chrome is nice driver quality. All of the gl*** is good. Where this car needs the most work is in the interior. The seat covers, carpet, and door panels all need replacing, as well as the dash pad. The nice part about the interior is that all of the interior chrome trim is in good driver-quality condition. Overall, this is a solid driver that I wouldn't hesitate to take for a 100+ mile cruise. It does need some work, but it can be done while you enjoy the vehicle. These 3rd Generation T-birds are gaining popularity, so get yours while you can!
