    unbolt your front suspension, add some 3 or 4" heavy tubing (or oak wood blocks like the famous Mazmanian Vette) and bolt it back together...

    @427Sleeper - check out Tremec TKO 600 5 speeds.

    Pearl white with blue will look great.

    Any small or big block you choose that makes the power you want is perfect. Dress it out vintage if you prefer. Keep a spare on the engine stand and rev the hell out of it.

    I always thought white pearl paint with a hint of gold combined with magnesium wheels with Dow 7 coating (goldish tint) would be a great combo. Alum wheels tinted to match would be a good subs***ute.

    Sounds like you have a direction in mind... a car you've "dreamed of" for a long time, and now sitting before you... it is a kind of blank canvas. It's you car now and it's your dream... Build it!
    As others have already stated, there are certain "reality parameters" you should take into consideration; Like don't put a T-5 behind a knarley engine unless your goal is to grenade the trans. Put one in that will perform and last.
    Choose components that are going to be reliable and safe as well as period correct.
    Choose a theme/time line and stick with it.
    Don't try to make the car something it's not... get zen with it and let the car tell/show you what it wants. (For example, look at Moriarty's 'Vette... It's obviously modified, but it is still obviously a 'Vette. Different in some ways but in a subtle cl***y way)
    Congratulations on getting something you've lusted over for so long!

    Sorry 427 Sleeper. I should have checked. It’s my email address so I figured it would make it easy for me to remember. I’m going to see if I can change it to 406 sleeper. The emoji is a pic of how I got rid of one of my daughter future freeloading husbands. He was never the same after that day. All I did was blow him a kiss in his face.

    LOL!!! Seems we have more in common than just a screen name! I would do the same thing to my daughter's Turd boyfriend if the opportunity presented itself! :D

    I was thinking I could start up a business based on this concept. It would take -0- capital start up and I would be helping frustrated fathers all over the world for a plain ticket and a small fee. I could even show pie charts on how much people would save. Just have to pull up my bank records. Oh well…. Good times….
