$2600 for a brake job is absurd. I'd sue that ***hole in small claims court. If you're not going SCCA racing...the stock brakes work fine...also if I can give you some unsolicited advice....spend some time on here learning about cars and your car in general before you do any serious mods to your car. Learn by what others have done...and their mistakes.

It's amazing that on cars we did brake jobs on every day of the week in the 70's without an issue are "hard to work on" now and guys who know what they are doing can't work on them right.
Cost wise, it seems the aftermarket has abandoned 63 Pontiacs as far as brake drums go and they had to be sourced thought the rare as chicken teeth parts suppliers who jack up the price on what is probably old stock.
R ock Auto shows shoes and wheel cylinders but no drums.
This Ebay link is to a pair of front drums for 350 plus shipping and other adds show close to the same price

I'm like the others in that why to hell do you think Camaro **** will work or is compatible with what you have now? At best early or mid size full size Pontiac pieces may swap but you would first have to check and see if the ball joints matched up to see if the spindles would swap. I'm thinking that the 63 had a rear steer steering setup with the box behind the axle line and the later Chevys, Pontiacs and Olds have front steer and forged one piece spindles so that is out.
