Sorry for the delay. Here was the situation. Not to my favor of course! My neighbor works in Princeton NJ, about an hour, from us. He calls me and says a guy at work knows of 2 corvettes for sale. Me not being a vette guy, was very interested when he said the price. The friends neighbor is now a widow and left with herb husbands 1962 and 1963 split window in a barn. She stated in her misery, I'm thinking, 12,000 for each. Holy ****! Let's go get me' I said. Well after 2 days of too many people chattering About her small fortune she realizes what they are and there true value! She states their not for sale anymore and no further questions. Well ok!! The first guy who made contact,the neighbor, should have shut up and paid the 24K. Oh well...
Well, at least you got closure. And without ever seeing them to know for sure, they may well be $12K cars or worse. OTOH, well you know....
